Usage Story about Star Icon
Even though the stars in the night sky may have been covered up by the awful pollution lately, they are very much present in the digital world. Fake stars are just everywhere these days to fill the emptiness left by actual stars. The stars that we are more familiar with today are not those petty, glowing balls of plasma. It is certainly more likely that the star we speak of is either a shape, or culturally significant A to B-list celebrity.
The common icons we see referring to a star are:
Asterisk (*)—an asterisk can be easily spotted together with the “8” button on the keyboard.
Pentagram—a five-pointed star that is made with five straight strokes. It is often linked with mysticism, military power, and of course, fame. It is also a highly crucial figure in preschool.
Star of David—a six-pointed star formed by two equilateral triangles that are entwined. The figure is known to be a Jewish and Israeli symbol.
With the star icon’s variety of purposes, there are also other euphemisms associated with it:
Use the stars for the common good—go validate other people with fake stars.
