Idea of Wi-Fi Filled Icon
If you were to take a circle and then surround it with two more concentric circles and then take the top 25% the same way you would take 25% of a pizza, then you have this image. It's the classic wi-fi symbol.
This is a Wi-Fi Filled icon. We've made it in iOS style, first introduced in iOS version 7 and supported in all later releases up until now (at least iOS 11). This style is based on thin two-pixel lines and is optimized for 50x50 px. Unlike other vector icon packs that have merely hundreds of icons, this icon pack contains 13,700 icons, all in the same style and quality.

Idea of Wi-Fi Filled Icon by Ivan from Icons8

We've received the idea on October 3, 2011 and created the icons on October 18, 2011

It's Ivan and I've the first idea submitted. We have a set for Infrastructure made several years ago. First, they have Windows Vista look. Second, they don't have lot of hot topics 1. Cloud computing of all kinds 2. SSD 3. Everything wireless etc. So I propose a new set: IT Infrastructure Cloud HDD SSD Many hard drives (NAS) Cloud and HDD (cloud storage) PC Client (a desktop computer with windows logo on the screen) Linux Client (desktop with a penguin) Mac Client (iMac with an apple logo) Wifi signal Stack: 2 or 3 blade servers in a rack VoIP gateway

Story about Wi-Fi Filled Icon

Imagine the horror of entering a coffee shop that doesn’t have Wi-Fi on the menu. It’s 1995. People are engaging in conversations or worse yet, getting job done. People are meeting up with friends without telling Snapchat about it. They are ordering more than a refillable cup of brewed coffee. Meals are being served and eaten without Instagram knowing. No bulky laptops hogging space, no tangled power cords to trip over. No one overstays; table turnover rate is high. The coffee shop is earning. But we wouldn’t know all of that because we left immediately once we heard that there’s no Wi-Fi. What does “No Wi-Fi” even mean?
wi-fi icon
There are two very recognizable WiFi icons that have the power to attract anyone looking to prey on free Wi-Fi. One is the yin yang-looking logo developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to boosting and certifying Wi-Fi products.

The other logo features a dot with curved lines that appear to diffuse from it, signifying the presence of a Wi-Fi signal.

  • Router

  • Smartphones
